After moving from Northern Virginia to Lake Monticello in 2006, Katie Martin decided to take her experiences from teaching at Columbia Institute of Fine Arts and the Levine School of Music to start an early childhood music program that leads to piano study and music literacy.
Katie, an early childhood music and movement specialist, received her Certification and License in Musikgarten's Family Music for Babies/Toddlers and Cycle of Seasons in 2007 and Music Makers at the Keyboard in 2008.
She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Harp Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Arts from American University. She has taught piano lessons for 7 years and has 6 years of experience teaching early childhood music and movement classes.
Katie is a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association (ECMMA), in which she has earned her Level 1 Certification.
